Why we combine engineering and training

The knowledge we teach comes out of automation projects — not the other way round.

At EDU-TECH Automation, TECH is engineering work on process visualisation and supervision systems. EDU is passing on what that work teaches. These are not two separate businesses standing side by side: one is the source of the other.

That is why a session starts from a real task rather than an exercise invented around a tool. And it is why, in projects, we pay attention to whether anyone other than the author can tell what is happening on the screen.

EDU-TECH Automation works as a team of SCADA engineers. Below is the profile of the person who runs the company and leads the sessions.

Ernest Górka, MSc Eng

A SCADA and HMI systems engineer with practice in the metals industry — on processing lines and rolling mills, in projects delivered in Poland and abroad. Trainer and academic lecturer specialising in the practical use of spreadsheets, IT tools and SCADA systems. Doctoral candidate in management studies.

The team’s competence also covers the zenon platform. We do not name the corresponding certificate here until we can confirm its exact wording — we would rather not publish an approximate title. What we do on each platform is described on the Technologies page.

Teaching and academic background

Engineering practice is complemented by teaching and academic work: university teaching, a doctorate, co-authorship of more than 25 scientific publications and conference talks.

An important qualification: this academic work is in management studies — among others management, leadership, artificial intelligence in organisations and data protection — and not in industrial automation. We treat it as the basis of our teaching and analytical method, not as evidence of SCADA competence.
